Rhode Island Music Educators Association

I was fortunate to serve on the sub-committee for Covid-19 curriculum design as it related to general music, grades K-6. This project provided guidance for the wide variety of music classes in the state, and we ensured that it aligned with the Rhode Island Department of Education Reopening Framework. It is organized into 3 main sections: (1) Curriculum/Instruction and Supports; (2) Reopening Operations; and (3) Health and Safety with Classroom Set-Up and Materials. In addition, the following PK-12 music education teaching scenarios were addressed: General Music, Choral Ensembles, Instrumental Ensembles, and Middle & High School Classroom Music.
